First off, the hotel’s location is undeniably a plus. Situated right on the riva and a short stroll from the bustling pedestrian harbor, it's perfect for someone looking to soak in the local atmosphere. This advantage comes with a downside: the noise. With bars and cafes nearby, you may find it hard to get a good night's sleep, especially if you’re after the tranquil sounds of nature, like I am. While the room I stayed in offered a flat-screen TV and a mini-bar, it felt quite dated as if last updated decades ago. The amenities, while present, left a lot to be desired. I found myself grappling with an overly basic breakfast spread that failed to match the expectations of a luxury stay. the Wi-Fi was inconsistent, which is essential for someone like me who often documents travels for conservation work. While the Hotel Bellevue has a beautiful facade and a prime location, it struggles to deliver on the luxury it markets. For those prioritizing value over aesthetics, this might still be a convenient option, but be prepared to manage your expectations.
